The SRM training system track version was designed for use on cycling tracks to measure true power output in watts during your training sessions or competitions under real conditions. The system also helps you choose the best possible aerodynamic sitting position. The SRM Training System track version is available in the Professional model only.
NEW: The Powermeter has two reed switches for a shorter lag time until recording data.
The track Powermeter is only available as a Professional model (8 strain gauges) with a measurement accuracy ±0.5%.
Cranks: 165mm to 175mm to fit the 144bcd, such as Sugino Zen Chainrings
Chainrings: 5-arm with a 144mm bolt circle. 41 to 53-tooth chainrings are available, you can mount either one or two chainrings.
Weight: 931 g with cranks and bottom bracket (173 g) without chainring
Bottom bracket: e.g. BB7700 (173 g)
Special:
The Vario bore holes on the outer side of the Powermeter allow you to mount two chainrings. With this option and the respective crank you can also use the track Powermeter for training on the road. Shimano track cranks also fit on Shimano Octalink 109.5mm road inner-bearings.
The PowerControl VI displays real-time data, and stores the wirelessly transmitted data for later review and download. In addition to power and cadence it also measures speed, heart rate, altitude and temperature. All data are transmitted via ANT+Sports protocol (power and cadence) or via ANT protocol (heart rate and speed). All of the information is displayed after each crank revolution and is saved in intervals which can be set individually. You can choose between intervals of 0.5 up to 5 seconds. The memory capacity is enough to store 1054 hours of riding with the memor set at 1-second intervals.? Many different kinds of information can be shown on the generously sized display. The simple menu makes it easy to navigate between the various options while riding.
The SRM PowerControl VI is powered by a rechargeable NiMh battery allowing 30 hours of continuous use. It is also equipped with an integrated USB interface for data download and analysis on a Windows PC and recharging on the computer or the multicharger. The PC VI is slipped onto a handlebar mounted bracket, and can therefore be removed easily.
A housing made of highly shock-resistant plastic has been developed to ensure that the PC VI is extremely durable. This housing is available in various colors. Dimensions: W 2.4" x L 3.15" x D 0.79" (W 86mm x H 51mm x D 23mm) Weight: 2.68oz (76g)
Key benefits compared to PowerControl V:
The PowerControl VI has a brand new, completely redevelped technology. Wireless data transmission from the SRM PowerMeter with the ANT+Sport protocol, and wireless heart rate and speed sensors using the ANT protocol, guarantee the highest reliability and accuracy in data transmission. No more time-consuming, fiddly sensor wiring!
Additional significant improvements of the PC VI compared to previous models:
Integrated altitude measurement and storage.
Significantly increased storage capacity of 1054 hours with PC VI at a storage interval of 1 second (before: 6.2 hours with PC V).
Integrated USB interface, making it possible to charge the battery directly by connecting it to the computer.
New icons on the clearly legible, high-contrast display improve functionality during training.
Simplified menu navigation.
Please note: PC VI is not downwards compatible with PC V components or wired PowerMeters due to the new technology. For speed and heart rate measurement you need sensors transmitting data via ANT protocol (for example SUUNTO Bike Pod and SUUNTO Comfort Belt).

SRM Software
Not until you have an exact analysis of the training session can you see how well you trained and what you need to "work on”. There are number of factors that play a decisive role here: it is not enough to look at values and curves if you want a true picture of the athlete’s condition, you need the correlation of the different parameters to each other to get and exact result.
Years of experience gained from thousands of professional applications is used continuously to optimise SRM software, which today is one of the most sophisticated tools for analysing training AND race results optimally.
This makes SRM Software as equally an important part of the whole SRM Training System as all other components.
The training data saved in the SRM Powercontrol can be transmitted to a PC directly after the training session. Each training unit is allocated a date and a time so that 20 saved training units can, for example, be defined exactly according to time. Each training file goes into a databank and training charts for individual riders can be created by using different initials for each rider. In addition, you can add personal comments to each training file.
