The best full face helmet on the market, the Viper MX is its convertible half head/full face freeride lid, using an extensively vented, organically moulded upper shell for an impressively breezy fi t that still vents well at slow speeds.

The big visor shields glare or rain well too, although two small side holes can cause irritating gaps in the protection. Impact protection is something Casco pride themselves on though, and as well as the very solid feeling 'click on' chinguard, the helmet also has a tubular aluminium 'roll bar running from front to rear. It certainly feels a lot more protective than the MET Parachute, despite being significantly lighter and much easier to whip the chin on and off.
